Tashkent tennis player Nigina Abduraimova delighted the organizers of the 14th international junior tournament which ended in Namangan with a victory in singles among girls.
The 15-year-old player from Tashkent was seeded sixth, but confidently proved to be first. After two difficult start-up victories over Belarus Darya Lebesheva - 4/6, 6/2 7/6(3) and Russian Alyona Tarasova - 6/1, 4/6, 6/4, Nigina started to run over other Russians Yevgeniya Svintsova - 6/0, 6/1 and the first seeded Margarita Gasparyan - 6/3 6/2. And in the final she beat the seventh seeded Belarusian tennis player Viktoria Kisilyova - 6/4 6/3.
In boy's category everything went in accordance with the seeding. Tashkent's Sergei Shipilov who received the third number reached the semifinals, where in an incredibly hard game he gave away the win to the first seeded Vladislav Dubinskiy from Russia - 7/5 6/7(10), 6/7(3). And the latter got so tired that lost the final match against the second seeded Belarusian Yaroslav Shyla - 4/6, 1/6.
